Dicken’s Ecole Jardin is a great example of what can be accomplished with careful consideration to the neighbourhood’s existing character, and intentional negotiations with the City.

Ecole Jardin began as three separate lots, each with their own single-family home, that were consolidated to gently increase densification within the neighbourhood. Our vision was to build new row homes facing the street, along with units facing internal courtyards. These internal courtyards provided a protected place where neighbours could gather, and young children could play safely. We restored one of existing homes to its original character and created an up/down duplex typology within it. This restoration allowed us to obtain more density from the City. To tie the whole development together, the new row house buildings were designed in a form that was respectful and in keeping with the original character building.

The Panorama is a unique site at the top of Harrison Highlands.

This is neighborhood is fast becoming a great community for those near retirement where peace and quiet is important, but so is quick access to leisurely amenities. We acquired five sites from a larger subdivision community and created highly desirable and obtainable side by side duplex units. The design was geared towards those ready to consider retirement with spaces focused on family, entertaining, and enjoyment. The view potential of each site was taken into consideration when designing each unique home.
